The crimson red earth hue of our brand new Women’s Escape Pullover is everywhere around us in the Moroccan desert. From the soil, to the walls of the kasbahs and Berber village houses in the Atlas Mountains. This is where we found the inspiration for our versatile Escape Pullover. It is made from adventure and for adventures off the grid. For rides that are about stopping, looking around, talking to strangers and tasting the local flavours. When you leave the watts and average speed behind and want to connect what matters by going off-grid at your own pace.
Description
We call this one a technical midlayer, but what does that actually mean? It’s made from Tecnowool*. A super-smart and half natural fabric from the Italian family ran business Pontetorto. It combines both recycled natural wool and synthetic fibres and what it does is create a wonderful warm, highly breathable, durable and fast drying pullover. The fabric features a ‘waffle’ knit to capture the heat from your body while ensuring that it is as light as possible. This makes this your go-to layer when you really need to think about what to take with you.
Not only the amazing red clay colour, but also the chilly desert nights inspired us to create a layer that is ideal in autumn, spring or on warmer winter days. For colder conditions we would suggest adding a windvest or our padded vest. And as you can tell: this one feels at home off the bike as well.
Fit note: The Escape Pullover is not pre-washed and partly made from natural wool. It will shrink slightly after the first wash. Please take this into account when fitting. There should be enough room for some shrinkage.

*About Tecnowool
Pontetorto® are a family-run fabric mill based in Italy and have been making fabrics there since 1952. Tecnowool is Pontetorto's line of highly technical wool fabrics and offers fantastic natural colour combinations that can only be achieved in wool. So when we wanted to capture that crimson colour we saw in Morocco we knew this was the fabric to do that with. The added polyester makes it dry fast which is nice when bikepacking, while the wool on the outer layer absorbs water vapour and lets it slowly evaporate. The combination of the Pile and carded wool offers a thermal comfort that no non-natural product can achieve. The carded wool we use is mostly recycled and not treated with chlorine. The polyester on the inside stabilises the fabric so that it can be machine washed.
