ADVENTURE
If you find joy in riding through every season, let the enchanting beauty of winter draw you into an unforgettable journey. The Sleepover is an invitation to ride, connect, and unwind in the warmth of a cosy mountain mansion after a day of exploration. Together with 30 like-minded women, we’ll set out on a semi-supported, two-day cycling experience like no other.
This is more than just a ride; it’s about coming together, sharing stories, and experiencing something truly special. Join The Sleepover on January 25th and 26th, 2025 and discover the magic of winter cycling in the company of those who share your passion for connection and exploration.
What to expect?
What sets The Sleepover apart is the attention to connection and creativity. It’s not just about the ride—it’s about everything we’ll share along the way:

- A very special shared accommodation in a cosy, welcoming mountain mansion
- Two delicious dinner and a breakfast prepared by food designer Franke Elshout
- Inspiring workshops where women share their stories
- Two stunning routes, each day covering 70–100 km and approximately 1000 meters of elevation

Our two-day experience begins and ends at Off the Map in Maastricht, the perfect place to kick off and conclude our journey. On Saturday morning at 10 a.m., we’ll gather for coffee and a warm welcome before setting out on the first day’s ride. On Sunday afternoon, we’ll return to Off the Map to celebrate with a shared dinner and stories from the weekend.
All you need to bring is your gravel or mountain bike, warm cycling clothes, a sleeping bag, and a few snacks for along the way. We’ll take care of the rest, including mechanical support to ensure you can focus on the ride and the experience.

Why do we do this?
At IRIS, HeyHeydeHaas, and Off the Map, we believe in the power of community and the strength that comes from supporting one another. Women deserve the opportunity to connect, share, and inspire each other as they pursue their dreams and goals. Sometimes, all it takes is a fresh perspective or a little push to make things happen. That’s why The Sleepover is about more than just cycling. We intentionally create space to step off the bike, build deeper connections, and have meaningful conversations about our aspirations and how to bring them to life.
Your Sleepover Hosts
IRIS – Iris Slappendel will be joining you on the Sleepover journey. The brand IRIS is a labour of love by Iris Slappendel. With IRIS, she aims to break down barriers and create a brand that celebrates diversity, individuality, and colourful confidence. Central to our ethos is the belief that every woman, regardless of size or shape, deserves access to apparel that fits well and makes her feel fantastic on the bike. Ultimately, IRIS is about fostering a community where women can support and uplift each other, sharing the joy and freedom of cycling.
HeyHeydeHaas – Apart from being a creative producer and expert of weird contraptions at design studio HeyHeydeHaas, Elske Non Merci loves spending time outdoors exploring sketchy trails. She started out as a solo adventurer and long distance trail-runner but soon discovered the power of shared adventures.
The idea behind the Sleepover, apart from having fun obviously, is to take time to share these experiences of self reliance and inspire each other to just go out there and chase our dreams.
Off The Map – Is the adventure bike workshop in Maastricht and Petra Vroomen lives and breathes (adventure) cycling. It’s hard to find someone so enthusiastic and passionate about cycling in and around Maastricht. Petra will be our guide on the road, as she knows the South of the Netherlands and the Belgium Ardennes like the inside of her pocket…
