Cheer, Ride, Repeat — United in Gravel with IRIS
Let’s cheer on the women during the World Championships Gravel ride on October 11th in Limburg. While the pros fight it out for that coveted rainbow jersey, we’ll be conquering our own gravel roads and climbs.
Starting in Maastricht, right at the finish of the world champs, we’ll roll out towards our first cheer spot, passing the iconic Basilica of Meerssen along the way. Then we’ll cut through Schimmert, catching the pros for a few more sightings (maybe three if we’re lucky).
As we loop through the stunning gravel roads and hills around Valkenburg, we’ll make a quick pitstop at the Shimano Experience Centre, before hitting the gravel one last time to return to the finish line. There, we’ll cheer them on, as the pros battle it out for glory. And when it’s all over, we’ll join the Shimano after-party to celebrate and share the experience with the crew.

- Start Location: Restobar Mama, Maastricht, Oranjeplein 200
- Meet up: 09:30
- Roll out: 10:00
- Watching the pro’s: 3-5 times
- Car Parking: P&R Maastricht Noord (3.5km away from Restobar Mama)
- Route: 50km / 400hm
- Bike choice: Gravel, or at least make sure your bike is able to go offroad!
- Pace: Social – no drop policy!
