DESIGN

What is the Cold Dye Process?
The Cold-Dye process used for the NATOORA Limited Edition Collection is an innovative, low-impact dyeing technique developed in collaboration with a pioneering Italian manufacturing partner.

Unlike traditional fabric dyeing, which relies on high temperatures and energy-intensive cycles, cold dyeing fixes colour to the fabric at low temperatures. This significantly reduces environmental impact while allowing colour to develop in a more natural, expressive way.
The result? Rich, organic tones with subtle variation making the colour feel alive!

A more sustainable way to create colourful confidence!

Cold-dye technology drastically reduces water consumption and energy usage, making it one of the most environmentally responsible dyeing methods available today.
Because the process works efficiently at lower temperatures, it avoids the high heat demands of conventional dyeing and lowers overall resource use. It also allows us, as a small brand, to move away from industry-standard minimum order quantities.

That means:

  • We produce only what we nee
  • No forced bulk production
  • No excess stock
  • No unnecessary waste

NATOORA is intentionally produced in smaller quantities than our core collections, by design, not by compromise.
It also gives us the freedom to experiment with colour in new, expressive ways which has been a lot of fun for the team! How you mix and match them is entirely up to you.

Unique By Design

  • During the Cold-Dye process, natural-inspired pigments settle onto the fabric in irregular, organic ways, much like a watercolour wash.
  • Each material and panel absorbs colour differently, creating subtle shifts in tone and saturation. The result is that every garment is completely unique, with its own natural variation and character.
  • No two pieces will ever look exactly the same, a reflection of the individuality of the rider who wears it.

What will my Natoora garment look like?

Because of the cold-dye process:

  • Colours may vary slightly between each garments in the Natoora collection
  • Subtle tonal shifts are normal

Caring for your cold-dyed garment.

With thoughtful care, your cold-dyed piece will remain vibrant, expressive and unmistakably yours.

Unlike standard synthetic dyes, cold-dyed pigments may soften or evolve gently over time with wear and washing. This natural change is part of the garment’s character and does not affect the fabric’s performance, durability or longevity.

To maintain the vibrancy of your cold-dyed garment, we recommend:

  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
  • Use a pH-neutral or bio-based detergent
  • Wash separately or with similar colours
  • Pre-treat stains by soaking in cool water
  • Dry in the shade to prevent sun-fade
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not bleach or dry clean

These steps help protect the dye, minimise fading, and ensure your garment ages gracefully to evolve evenly over time.

Enjoy!
